99 Books 50 Year Anniversary Tribute to George Jackson The Freedom Archives Donate

A close look at the events leading to the murder of George Jackson at San Quentin. It breaks down the improbability of the timeline of events as asserted by San Quentin prison officials and the State of California highlighting how difficult it would be to hide a gun in one’s hair. This reasserted timeline contextualizes George Jackson’s murder at the hands of the State of California as other state killings of Black Panthers and Black Revolutionaries. The monograph then goes into the legacy of George Jackson’s death on the American Black Liberation movement as well as other revolutionary movements and actions of revolutionary solidarity. It also includes a review of Blood in My Eye, George Jackson’s last book.
